Dates of Camps for Fall/Winter 2016:

Coach Dohm and Coach Ferguson are excited to announce the following camps/clinics that we will be offering throughout

the Fall and Winter of 2016. We are wanting to give players, of various ages and abilities, an opportunity to continue to improve on their basketball skills and fundaments thoughout this fall and winter.

Skills/Fundamentals Breakdown Clinic (October 8-9th) @68 Inside Sports

We are excited to offer our fall - Offensive Skills/Fundamentals Breakdown Clinic at 68 Inside Spots. This clinic will be two consecutive days and will feature three sessions available to boys in the following grades (Session 1: 3rd-4th Grades; Session 2: 5th-6th Grades; Session 3: 7/8th Grade Elite Skills Camp). The clinic will be limited to 25 players per session and will provide players with individual & small group attention from Coach Dohm and Coach Ferguson. This camp will focus on the skillsets that are necessary to be effective scorers, passers, and will also incorporate high-level ballhandling drills. We believe that these three facets of the game are essential in creating the complete offensive player. This camp is designed to prepare players for the upcoming 2016-17 CYO and Jr. High seasons. We will also be giving each player a packet of individual drills and instructional tools that will assist them in getting a headstart on the season.

Camp Details: Location: St. James Academy Cost : $30 for Weekend ($20 for 1 Day)

Session 1: Grades 3rd-4th Time: 1:00-2:00P.M. (25 player maximum)
Session 2: Grades 5th-6th Time: 2:00-3:00P.M. (25 player maximum)
Session 3: Grades 7/8th Elite Clinic Time: 3:00-4:00P.M. (20 player maximum)

Final Tune Up Clinic (November 5th) @ St. James Academy

Our November Clinic will give players an opportunity to fine-tune their skills in preparation for their upcoming tryouts on their basketball teams. The Final Tune-up Clinc will be available to boys in the following grades (Session 1: Grades 1-4th; Session 2: Grades 5-8th; Session 3: 7/8th Elite Practice Session - Invitation Only). This cinic will be conducted to simulate one of our high school practices at St. James Academy and will be physically demanding based on camper's age and ability. This one day camp will incorporate a variety of offensive-oriented skills to help player develop an understanding of scoring opportunities in a variety of situations (I.E. ball screens, moving without the basketball, scoring in transition, & breakdown moves).

SJA Thunder Winter Break Camp (Dec. 28th-30th )

@ St. James Academy

Our Winter Break Camp will offer boys and girls, (Grades 3-8th) a variety of skill opportunities to pick and choose from. This camp will feature 3 - 45 minute sessions per day. The 3 sessions are as follows: (Session 1: Shooting Fundamentals & Getting Open; Session 2: Ballhandling & Passing Skills; Session 3: Creating Scoring Opportunities in the Half Court). When registering, campers will indicate the day(s) that they will attend. During camp, campers will be organized based on gender, and ability levels to create equal groups. Our Winter Break Camps are also a great opportunity for teams and/or large group attendance. In previous years, this camp has been extremely successful and a great way to enhance skills in preparation for the remainder of basketball season. Each day and session, we will incorporate and teach a variety of new drills that pertain to each skill mentioned above. This year each camper will receive a basketball booklet that will include a variety of drills and skill workouts designed to help individual improvement.

Session 1: Shooting Fundamentals & Learning to get open Time: 4:00-4:45P.M.
Session 2: Becoming Great Ballhandlers & Passers Time: 4:45-5:30P.M.
Session 3: Creating Scoring Opportunities in the Half Court Time: 5:30-6:15P.M.
